Delivering the vision of an integrated management plan for the coastal zone will be a shared responsibility of local government, landowners, users and residents, dependent on forging new, and maintaining existing, strong working relationships. Delivery will involve everyone with a managerial interest in the future of the coastal zone, from national agencies and local authorities to local communities and the voluntary sector.
Running through the management plan and providing the integrated structure are a number of cross-cutting themes that are of particular importance in ensuring a sustainable future for the zone as a whole.
