Promote a greater understanding of the amphibians on Skomer and develop methods of survey

  • Encourage the development of survey techniques for frogs, toads and newts.
  • Survey and record the ponds used by amphibians for breeding and consider future management of the ponds accordingly eg. no work to be done during the breeding season, keep any shallow and vegetated areas favoured by amphibians.
