4.1 Invertebrates
Maintain all records of all species and encourage greater understanding of the site management for the invertebrates
1 Habitat management option A1 non intervention
  • Information about the distribution, status and habitat needs is required before any practical management can be considered. In the absence of this information allow natural responses to develop.
2 Study and research option C2 specialist facilities
  • Encourage surveys and more detailed studies to aid the development of appropriate management policies.
  • Continue to support the ITE Butterfly Monitoring Scheme.
  • Continue to catch moths in a range of habitats on a regular basis to further understand the habitat/species relationship
Note invertebrates are rarely considered in a management context.  Much more information is needed before it is practical to do so.
