UNDP has committed an amount of US$ 2.5 million as
co finance for this initiative. The funds will be used to support
local governments to mainstream issues of conservation and
sustainable use of biodiversity in their district planning This
supports one of the outputs under component 2, specifically putting
in place a District coordination mechanism in the project target
area to ensure that biodiversity management in National Parks, and
wildlife migration corridors and dispersal areas is factored into
decision-making governing land use management.
