Integrate PA management in wider landscape
Integrating PA Management in the Wider Landscape to produce the following outcomes:
A working model for integrating management of NPs and wider production landscapes is piloted and adopted in Abim and Otuke Districts in North Eastern Uganda and secures wildlife corridors and dispersal areas covering approximately 227,389 ha (Exact area to be maped during project preparation)
No net loss of natural habitat in the critical landscape and at least 40% reduction in hunting pressures in wildlife corridors and dispersal areas (baseline to be determined during project preparation).
Populations of keystone species (shea tree and elephants), stable until project end.
PA buffer zone under approved management plans incorporating BD considerations.
Local governments cooperate effectively to regulate and plan natural resource use over 227,389 ha of the critical landscape
