It is vital to encourage and support the development of local Friends Groups, interested schools and community groups for each Local Nature Reserve.
The role of local friends groups can include:-
v Information on what site improvements are most important for local people
v Assist in species and habitat monitoring
v Raise awareness and public support for Local Nature Reserves
v Carry out practical management tasks on sites
