A south-east to north-west
line across Mid Anglia from Hitchin in Hertfordshire to
Corby in Northamptonshire runs from chalk and greensand of the Cretaceous
period across all 10 divisions of the Jurassic. Most of the landscapes overlie
Jurassic bed rock.
