Baywatch began as an education programme for
local primary schools in Cardiff Bay, sponsored by the
Cardiff Bay Development Corporation, entitled 'Life
After Coal'.
The aim was to improve awareness of dockland
regeneration and its managerial objectives.
Through the Schools in
Communities Agenda 21 Network, the project was taken
up by English schools and developed around the
viewpoint that a managerial view of conservation
is part of education in ecological awareness that leads
to practical community programmes and initiatives for
sustainable development.
The web pages illustrate
some of the outcomes of the Baywatch programme.
